Dreamforce in-person Can Return in 2021
The world has changed all of a sudden since the messy pandemic has arrived. and so did the Dreamforce especially in 2020. The prestigious event from Salesforce has gone virtual for the first time since its beginning. Dreamforce'20 was virtual but inspirational with an experience never shared before. But this year there are chances that the event will come back to its old track again.
In recent days, Biz Journals published about how Salesforce could hold dreamforce in 2021 as an in-person event. According to Nicole Rogers, the San Francisco Travel Association's chief sales officer said that Salesforce is "absolutely committed" to an in-person event, which would be the first major citywide convention since March 2020, though she cautioned that many variables remain in play and could affect whether they're able to pull the in-person event off. Along with this Nicole also stated that Dreamforce's planners aren't afraid to get creative with planning. They have explored stretching Dreamforce over multiple sites, including Oracle Park, so that they can decrease the density of attendees in one place, they have also considered cordoning off blocks in downtown San Francisco and building temporary structures to accommodate the event outside.
California has recently announced plans to move away from its four-tier framework of pandemic restrictions and fully reopen on June 15, if vaccine distribution continues on pace and low hospitalization rates remain stable. Conventions will be capped at 5,000 people through Oct. 1, All attendees are required to have been tested for covid and show proof of vaccination.
While this year's Dreamforce will not be the same as before. but it still is a nice effort to reinvent the magic of live events (*cough* along with some safety measures) but Let's hold our excitement before the full confirmation announcement. No matter If the event will be in-person or virtual, It is going to be more awesome than ever for sure. 😉
