Midwest Dreamin' Day 1 - Quick Overview
Today is the opening day for Midwest Dreamin', I'm sure you must be having an agenda to make the most out of this event. Here is a quick overview of day 1, and how to make the most out of it.
Pick & Drop Service
The event is hosted at the historic Navy Pier is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline in the Near North neighborhood. The event is at the far east end of the pier towards the Grand Ballroom, you will enter at Entrance 2.

IMPORTANT
: If you are taking a cab or an Uber, ask to be taken down to Entrance 2. There is a taxi turn around and drop off. If you are at the front end of the pier, you’ll have quite a walk down to the East End.
A Trolley Service from Intercontinental Hotel, Illinois, will be picking up continuously between 1:30 pm and 3:45 pm. Make sure you are at the "Illinois St. Entrance" of the Intercontinental Hotel during these times.
Getting Registered
Registrations are open between 1.30 PM - 7:00 PM. After getting registered, you can start exploring "Expo Hall".
Making most out of sessions
Learning from the best in the industry is the charm of attending events for me. Apart from technical sessions, I am glad to see a "Self Management" session as well for learning good ways to handle stress, anxiety, and insecurity.

A student of Raja Yoga for 27 years, she enjoys discovering practical applications of spiritual principles and using them to unravel the knotty questions of life. Session 2 - "Eat Your Broccoli: Security is Good for Your Salesforce Health"
by Lynn Simons and Alexa Staudt. What else you could ask for when you get to learn about security best practices direct from Salesforce. It's a highly recommended session for both admins and developers, as I personally feel security is something that slips out easily when one is busy shaping org for business requirements.
Lynn
is a member of the Trust Engagement team at Salesforce. She leads the Security Customer Engagement program, which focuses on providing customers with the resources they need to set up and maintain a secure Salesforce implementation throughout the customer lifecycle.
Alexa
is a product manager on the Identity and Authentication team at Salesforce, She came to Salesforce just over a year ago through the acquisition of Toopher, a location-based two-factor authentication application, now available as Salesforce Authenticator.
3:15 pm - 4:15 pm @ "Expo Hall Theater"
Session 3 - "Digital and Human Harmony"
by Erica Kuhl. It will be an interesting session to get Erica's perspective on this harmony between man and machines, its more relevant to Salesforce, as it's delivered by a seasoned Salesforce professional, who is the founder of
Salesforce 2 million members strong community program and running it successfully for last 8 years

4.45 pm - 6.30 PM - Demo Jams @ "Expo Hall Theater"
